Paul Shekoski, CEO, Primex Family of Companies
Paul is CEO and a member of the Board of Directors for the Primex Family of Companies, which are the leading time, temperature, and weather instrument companies in retail, commercial, and consumer markets. Paul joined the privately held company in 2005 as the first outside CEO to accelerate the Primex Family of Companies’ growth. Primex Family of Companies has three main divisions focused on delivering innovative products and superior customer service while “creating a culture and environment based on family values and a belief in people.” The company is a leader in synchronized time systems based on wireless GPS technology and is one of the fastest-growing companies in the category.
Paul has over two decades of high-technology experience in commercial and consumer markets. He began his career in avionics at Honeywell in Minneapolis, MN. After being recognized for his teamwork and passion at Honeywell, in 1992, he joined Seagate Technology, the largest hard disc drive company with revenues of over $11 billion and based in Scotts Valley, CA. During his 13 years at Seagate, he held various global leadership positions, including business unit responsibility, corporate strategic planning, product development, marketing, and business development. During his 13 years at Seagate, he spent four years in Penang, Malaysia, responsible for worldwide operations. He was instrumental in creating Seagate’s first entry into retail markets and growing the business from zero to over $250m in three years.
Paul is a lifelong learner and seeks insightful perspectives on the business world. He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, where he earned an MS in Management of Technology. He also has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Paul is an avid mountain biker and hiker. He enjoys traveling the world and meeting people.
Dan Lindberg, CFO, Primex Family of Companies
Dan serves as CFO for Primex Family of Companies and brings over 3 decades of experience, first as a business executive working his way to positions as a CFO and then General Manager with global leadership experience in cyclical and capital-intensive businesses.
Dan has led businesses ranging from $50M to $8B in revenue with varying life cycle stages: start-up, acquisition, growth, and business divestiture. He achieved positive results by leveraging experience in the industry, with a reputation for hiring, retaining, and developing top talent to extend business growth boundaries and scale up with a cohesive organization. Dan has unique perspectives in his business life that have helped to shape a mental toughness and leadership depth that enables him to sort out short-term crises and develop plans to move forward with confidence. He has learned that things never stay the same and can change quickly – be prepared for change; expect change. Dan focuses on the importance of finding ways to bring order out of chaos and, finally, to bring value to people and businesses every day. Dan has served on corporate boards, where he brought experience and leadership to extend growth boundaries and enable early-stage companies to scale up with a cohesive organization and business model.
Dan has a CM&AA certification through The Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors. He earned his BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Dan and his wife Mary reside in the western suburbs of Chicago where they raised four amazing children. Dan enjoys golf, weight training, and catching Walleye’s.
Mary Doizé, CMO, Primex Family of Companies, CCO, Primex Sync and OneVue Sense
Mary serves as both CMO of the Primex Family of Companies and as Chief Commercial Officer of Primex leading marketing, sales, and service for the Primex Sync and OneVue Sense businesses. Her background and expertise in the technology sector spans 3+ decades. Her unique career trajectory started on the technical side, building software and implementing it worldwide for companies like Compaq (HP) and Dell Computer. She then progressed to the commercial side with tech start-ups in Austin, TX, packaging, pricing, and defining software to market, positioning her well to lead the HRMS business division of Sage Software, a then $1.3B software company, over the P&L and organization.
Her career highlights include work as CMO and a key executive team member developing a high-functioning revenue engine for private equity-backed EdTech firm Navigate360, focusing on safety solutions for K12 & commercial markets. She drove 25% growth in the 1st year while rolling out the new umbrella company brand and assimilating four new acquisitions. Leading the HRMS business unit of Sage as VP/GM, Mary achieved a 150% first-year ROI on a leading-edge, new product introduction in the Human Capital Solutions space selling to diverse markets. Mary turned a declining business into a growth business within the year. The strategy she designed and implemented focused on extending new key functionality to the 19,000 customers and adding net/new customers through a reinvigorated reseller channel. Mary then went on to do Fractional CMO Consulting, helping over 40 businesses ranging from 2M – 1B in annual revenue with her 10-year tenure at Chief Outsiders, a C-level fractional firm. Mary completed her BBA in Computer Information Systems at Texas State University. Additionally, she completed a leadership program at the Center for Creative Leadership in La Jolla, CA.
Mary lives in Durango, CO, with her husband, Jim, and her two Moyen Poodles. She enjoys downhill skiiing and hiking in the San Juan Mountains around Durango.
